Services Provided

Care or support is provided in re-ablement way. Our skilled re-ablement team will implement your care plan and record all their intervention and observation. Our approach is to re-able you to do more for yourself to reduce your dependence on care workers. We always work with you to improve your abilities and capacity to do daily activities e.g. dressing.  SCC's aim is to provide you with the care and support you need to enable you to maintain as much independence as possible, and to live safely in peace, comfort and security in your place of residence.

All our staff are fully trained and mostly locally based, many of our care workers have years of experience working within the community. They use their own life skills, knowledge and experience to support you and give you the best quality of care and support needed to increase your independence in daily life as much as possible. Our staff are properly recruited and vetted. All staff have been Enhanced CRB (criminal record) checked and fully trained to SCC’s high standards of care. We try consistently to match our care workers’ to meet your needs. Our on-going training programme continually develops the skills and capabilities of our workforce, to ensure that we provide the highest standards of care to you.

Our care services include end of life care, palliative care and post-accident recovery care. We help people of all ages with physical, mental and learning disabilities. The following conditions/disabilities covered are:

Support Services

Support Services

Whether it's visiting friends, going out to church or getting involved in the community - we can assist you. We offer multiple support services. Our key, paid support services include:

Daily Services

  • Personal care - assistance with bathing, dressing, toileting etc.

  • Cooking and assistance with feeding (where necessary).

  • Life skills training and daily living skills training

  • Management of challenging behaviours. 

  • ​Moving and handling - Helping clients with limited or no mobility.

  • Assistance with medication as per your care plan.

Hourly Services

One of our care workers will come to visit you in your place of residence or day centre / school. The visits will be scheduled as often as you require, and the assigned care worker will stay with you for as long as you need. The timings of the visits are arranged to suit you and visits can be from as little as one hour all the way up to 24-hour live-in care. We have sleep –in and waking at night care worker services.

Live-In Care

If you need a live-in care worker, one will come and stay with you to provide the comfort and assurance of being ‘on hand’ should you need them. Our live-in weeks run from Monday to Monday, and we will replace your care worker should he/she become sick or take a holiday. We will provide weekend care workers to cover 7 days. You will be able to choose a favourite live-in care worker(s) as your main care worker(s), and we will rotate the care workers from time to time. Both hourly and live-In care workers will be able to provide you with the care and support services detailed over the page. We may trial your care worker(s).
